Lordswood started the season with 2 wins against Cuxton 91. The first game was won by a 2-0 margin - thanks mainly to an inspired display from the
Cuxton keeper who was beaten only by a rare James Nourse goal and a second from Zac Jones. The second game was a more one sided affair with
Lordswood scoring five without reply through Bradley Jeffrey netting the first hatrick of the season, Taylor Fraser and Ethan Gimbrere
2 fantastic games of football that were a great advertisement for youth football saw Lordswood collect 6 points off last seasons champions Wigmore.
The first game saw Lordswood edge a thriller by 5 goals to 4 in a match neither team really deserved to lose. Zac Jones capped a wonderful display with a
hatrick for Lordswood who also had Alex Longhurst and Liam Mcgee on the scoresheet but Lordswood had goalkeeper Harvey Mogridge playing only his
second game between the sticks to thank for the points after an amazing triple save in the second half.
The second game was equally close and saw Lordswood come out on top - Josh Beadle scoring the only goal of the game with a cracking long range free kick.
Harry Compton and Joe Tindall defended well throughout to keep the Wigmore attack at bay
Lordswood maintained their 100% start to the season with two hard fought wins against Milton & Fulston United. Game one went Lordswood way by a 3-1
scoreline. Bradley Jeffreys with two and Taylor Fraser put Lordswood in control before half time before Milton responded in the second half. The second
game finished 2-1 and was a far closer affair. Zac Jones was the hero for Lordswood with two late second half goals, his second following a fine solo run,
before Milton gained a consolation in the final minute.
Lordswood eased into the second round of the cup with 2 four nil victories against a spirited Spartac side.
Game one saw Zac Jones deliver another man of the match performance. He scored Lordswood's first two
goals and then made the third for Aidan Smyth to round a defender and strike his first of the season.
Thomas Webb made the fourth with a storming run and cross from defence for Alfie Carey to finish.
Game 2 saw Taylor Fraser open ther scoring for Lordswood after just eleven seconds. Spartac defended well thereafter
and it was midway through the second half before Jack Galea scored number two. Josh Beadle got the goal his
performance deserved to make it three from long range before Galea scored from close in to complete the scoring.
Lordswood kept top spot after two wins against Woodcoombe. Bradley Jeffreys opened the scoring in a two nil victory in game one
following a great run from Alfie Carey. Liam Mcgee scored the second within ten seconds of coming on as a substitute at half time
and Lordswood held on to their lead with some strong defending from Joe Tindall and Harry Compton. Harry Crook in goal kept his
fourth clean sheet in five games this season.
Josh Beadle was the matchwinner for Lordswood after they fell one behind in game two. He smashed home a penalty just before
half time to level matters and scored the winner with a long range screamer midway through the second half. Lordswood maintained their perfect start to the season by making it ten out of ten in their two fixtures against Black Lion.
Aidan Smyth was the matchwinner in a 3-2 Lordswood win in game one. He opened the scoring early on following some fantastic
close control from Zac Jones and when James Nourse volleyed home from a corner Lordswood seemed in control. A spirited
Black Lion team fought back with two goals either side of half time and could have taken the lead but for a brave close range save
from Harvey Mogridge. With time running out and the game heading for a draw Smyth popped up in the box from a long throw to smash home the winner.
Game 2 was a more comfortable affair with Lordswood running out 4-1 victors. Taylor Fraser opened the scoring and scored a terrific
second goal following a run from Bradley Jeffreys. Black Lion reduced the arrears but were sunk when Josh Beadle
added a third before an own goal finished off the scoring.
Lordswood marched into the quarter finals on the back of a 10-2 aggregate win against Bredhurst. Game 1 was never in doubt
after Bradley Jeffreys opened the scoring inside a minute. Taylor Fraser and Josh Beadle (2) added to the total before half time
and Liam Mcgee tapped in number 5 after a mazy run from Jeffreys. It was left to Joe Tindall to score his first goal for the club
from the penalty spot late on to complete the scoring.
Game two was a closer affair with Lordswood coming out 4-2 victors. Zac Jones scored the opener after a
long throw from Alex Longhurst and going on to complete a hatrick with two fine finishes. In between Alfie Carey
completed the Lordswood scoring from close range before Bredhurst scored a couple of late consolation games in the final minutes
Lordswood continued their winning start to the season with 2 tremendous performances against a strong Woodcoombe team.
The first game was won in the first 5 minutes with strikes from Zac Jones and Liam Mcgee. Woodcoombe hit the bar
in a strong 5 minute spell just before half time but the points were made safe by an Alex Longhurst strike midway through
the second half. Aidan Smyth and Thomas Webb kept Woodcombe at bay to secure the 3-0 scoreline.
Game two saw an outstanding attacking display from Bradley Jeffreys in a four nil win. Taylor Fraser opened the scoring,
Jeffreys added a second following a mazy run and Jack Norris made it three with a header. The crowning moment was left
to Harry Compton who completed the scoring with a Phillippe Albert style chip from 30 yards.

There was no stopping Lordswood once again as their 100% start to the season continued on Sunday against Strood 87.
Zac Jones was the goal hero in a five one game one win, scoring the first four goals in a superb individual display
which included a sublime chip from a tight angle for his fourth. Alex Longhurst then capped a great team performance
by scoring a fifth direct from a corner.
Bradley Jeffreys opened the scoring from close range in game two with Taylor Fraser adding a second soon after with
a strike that went in off the post. The points were secured with a third from Liam Mcgee and kept safe with a
7th clean sheet of the season from Harry Crook between the sticks.
Harvey Mogridge and Harry Crook kept clean sheets 12 and 13 of the season to ensure Lordswood picked up another
six point haul with two wins against Oak Athletic. The prolific Zac Jones scored twice in a first game 4-0 victory. Thomas Webb and Alex Longhurst
completed the scoring. For long periods of game two it seemed that Lordswood's 100% record was in serious danger against a
strong Oak team. The deadlock was broken with scarcely two minutes remaining following a run by Taylor Fraser which left
Bradley Jeffreys with a tap in. Jeffreys scored again in the last minute following a great through ball from Josh Beadle to secure the points in a 2-0 victory.
Lordswood's 100% record disappeared today as Strood became the first team to defeat the league leaders
this season. Game one was a formality for Lordswood with Taylor Fraser scoring a first half hatrick before
second half strikes from Josh Beadle, Ethan Gimbrere and Bradley Jeffreys (2) secured a 7-0 victory.
Despite dominating game two Lords couldn't turn their supremacy into goals and were left to rue missed
chances when Strood broke to score the games only goal in the closing stages
Lordswood finished the year on top spot after sharing the spoils in 2 hard fought games against Pegasus.
In a physical encounter Pegasus came out on top in game one scoring the only goal in the 2nd half
in a 1-0 victory. Lordswood hit back in game 2 and Bradley Jeffreys scored before half time with a great strike
from inside the box. The points were secured with second half goals from Josh Beadle and Jeffreys with his
second of the game. Pegasus netted a consolation in a 3-1 scoreline
Lordswood eased into the semi final of the league cup with an aggregate 12-3 win over Swallows. Game one
was never in doubt once Taylor Fraser opened the scoring and Josh Beadle quickly added a second. Both
players went on to score 2nd goals with Ethan Gimbrere completing the scoring in a 5-0 victory. Zac Jones
was the star of the show with 4 first half goals in game two. Lordswood took the lead with an own goal before
Jones took over and second half strikes from Alex Longhurst and Jack Norris secured a comfortable 7-3 win.
Lordswood booked their place in this seasons league cup final with a 7-2 aggregate win after a superb display
from Josh Beadle saw off a determined Real 60 team. In a tight first game 60 struck first and their keeper
preserved their lead with 3 top class saves to ensure they took a 1-0 lead into game two. After a tense opening it
looked as though 60 might just spring an upset before Beadle struck twice just before half time, the first a penalty
and second after a goalmouth scramble. Lordswood turned it on after the break and added to their lead through
Zac Jones and a further two from Beadle before 60 replied with a great strike direct from a corner. Beadle saved
his best to last by picking up the ball in his own area and running the whole length of the pitch before smashing
home his fifth and Lordswood's sixth before Thomas Webb completed the scoring from the penalty spot in a 7-1 win. In a dress rehearsal for the league cup final Wigmore and Lordswood shared the spoils in 2 games of fantastic quality.
Bradley Jeffreys put Lordswood ahead in game one with a deflected shot. Joe Tindall made a number of fine
tackles to keep Wigmore at bay but was powerless to prevent their equaliser mid way through the second half
in a game which finished one apiece. Game two was equally close and Lordswood once again took the lead with
a bullet header from James Nourse. Aidan Smyth gave his best performance in a Lordswood shirt but again Wigmore
fought back with an equaliser near the end. Two 1-1 draws which left spectators from both teams marvelling
at the quality of football played.
In 2 comfortable wins Lordswood put in two really strong performances to gain the six points. In game one
Aidan Smyth opened the scoring with a first ever header goal. Looping the ball over the oncoming keeper.
Thomas Webb made it two with a twice taken penaltybefore Liam Mcgee took charge and scored a ten
minute hatrick. Alex Longhurst struck late on to complete a 6-1 scoreline.
Game two saw Bradley Jeffreys score two early goals to put Lordswood in the comfort zone before two
long range bullets from Josh Beadle doubled the lead at half time to 4-0. Despite dominating the second
half Lords were unable to extend their lead although Joe Tindall and Harry Compton ensured the best
defensive record in the lead was not breached.
2 more clean sheets for Harry Crook and Harvey Mogridge as Lordswood posted 2 comfortable 3-0 wins
against Swallows. Bradley Jeffreys opened the scoring and added a second before half time in the first game.
Josh Beadle then scored at the start of the second half from the centre circle to complete the scoring.
In a physical second game Swallows held out until ten minutes from time when Zac Jones struck an Aidan
Smyth pass first time past the keeper. Alex Longhurst then hit a fantastic free kick from the halfway line into
the top corner to double the lead and Liam Mcgee struck a third off the underside of the bar to ensure Lords
title charge remained on track.
Match Report - March 21st
Lordswood took maximum points from two close games against Valley Colts. Zac Jones was the star in a 3-1
game one victory. After Valley took a first half lead, Jones supplied the pass for Jack Norris to equalise with a
fantastic piece of skill before going on to chip the goalkeeper to gives Lordswood the lead and secure the points
with a cool finish from a fine Alex Longhurst pass. Bradley Jeffreys scored the only goal of the second game in a
match which saw some fine defending from Lordswood's Joe Tindall and Harry Compton.
Match Report - March 22nd
Honours even in the second part of the double header between the two sides. Valley took a tight first game
with a 1-0 victory. Lordswood responded with a battling 1-0 victory in game two. Zac Jones was again the
matchwinner with a first half header but with key players missing captain Thomas Webb led by example
with able assistance from Aidan Smyth and Alfie Carey to ensure Valley could not breach the Lordswood back line.
The most disappointing performances on the season on a day when results elsewhere meant the title could
have been all but won. Things started well for Lordswood when straight from the kick off Aidan Smyth smashed
a shot into the net off the underside of the bar after just 4 seconds. Incredibly that was it for Lordswood for
almost 3 matches. The first game finished 1-0 and despite dominating game two Lordswood couldn't break through
and had to settle for a point in a 0-0 draw.
The second fixture was even more frustrating as despite completely dominating the first game and Zac Jones
having a legitimate claim for a penalty turned down Cliffe Woods broke from a Lordswood corner to score the games
only goal. It was left to Taylor Fraser in the final game to secure a massive 3 points with two second half goals
with fine finishes. Special mention to the defensive trio of Harry Crook, Harry Compton and Joe Tindall who kept
an incredible 16th clean sheet of the season.
Three more points for Lordswood after two hard fought games. Despite dominating possession in game one Lords
were unable to convert this into chances on a horrible bobbly pitch and Milton scored with their only shot of the
game to take an undeserved victory. Game two looked like being equally frustrating until two moments of magic.
Seconds before half time Josh Beadle unleashed a superb bicycle kick which flew into the net and midway through
the 2nd half Bradley Jeffreys picked up the ball inside his own half, beat three players and drove into the bottom
corner for a 2-0 victory.
Lordswood retained their three point lead but only managed three points despite two really strong performances.
Josh Beadle and Taylor Fraser gave Lordswood what looked a comfortable two goal lead before Black Lion nicked a goal back
with four minutes to go. Beadle made the game safe with a long range hit almost straight from the kick off to secure a
three one win. When Alex Longhurst opened the scoring in game two and Lordswood won a penalty soon after it looked
like maximum points but Thomas Webb struck the penalty wide and Lords went on to miss a whole host of chances
before Black Lion turned the game round with an own goal and disputed penalty. Lordswood laid siege to their hosts goal
in the second half but couldn't find the equaliser their performance deserved.
One hundred goals and the title is almost there after two wins against Wigmore's conquerors from last week.
From the third minute when Jack Norris opened the scoring the result was in little doubt. A terrific display of
passing followed with Zac Jones scoring the second, crossing for Alex Longhurst to tap in number three and then
netting number four at the start of the second half. Longhurst added number five before substitute Jack Galea
volleyed home number six near the end.
Game two was a much tougher affair with the Cuxton keeper Harry Potter stopping everything Lordswood threw at
him in the first half and then acting as the first wave of attack with his long goal kicks. Both Joe Tindall and Harry
Compton were unbelievably good winning every single header and ensuring an incredible eighteenth clean
sheet was kept. Potter was beaten by a great Taylor Fraser strike early in the second half before Compton made a
last ditch tackle to maintain the lead. A nervy ending was avoided when Fraser smashed home his and Lordswood's
second before Beadle's mazy run was finished by a fine finish to secure the three nil win.
Two fantastic games left Lordswood needed maximum points from their last game against Swallows
to lift the title. Josh Beadle scored vital goals for the third game in siccession in game one after a
really flat first half ended level and Pegasus scored right at the start of the second half with their
only shot on goal. This got Lordswood moving and despite Pegasus playing with five behind the ball
Beadle struck from inside the box before scoring a stunning winner in the last minute. Picking up the
ball wide he beat one player and after appealing for a foul went on to beat a second, roll the ball under
his foot to beat a third and smack an unstoppable shot past the keeper to leave Lordswood 2-1 victors.
Pegasus clearly loaded their second time in an attempt to railroad Lordswood's title ambitions not knowing
Wigmore had already dropped points earlier in the day. A terrific performance was left unrewarded with
Lordswood dominating the first half and creating a number of chances. Zac Jones hit the post with a
fantastic overhead kick. The second half was all Pegasus and there was some wonderful defending from
James Nourse, Aidan Smyth and Alfie Carey. Tom Webb made three great saves before Pegasus nicked
the last minute winner following two deflections from a corner.
Lordswood secured the title in style to beat Wigmore to the title by two points and go into next weeks
cup final looking to complete the double. Aidan Smyth made the breakthrough in game one following a
long Alex Longhurst throw and when Longhurst hit a screamer from outside the box shortly afterwards the
result was never in doubt. Zac Jones made it three with a terrific dribble and finish and made it four soon
after beating two defenders. Longhurst then made it five almost straight from the kick off and Smyth hit
a volley from a corner to make it six before half time. The second half was a quieter affair with Jones
completing his hatrick from a Longhurst cross before Swallows hit a late consolation.
Game two ended up a nervy affair but after Lordswood took an early lead through Taylor Fraser it looked
like the title was won. A brilliant second from Bradley Jeffreys saw him pick up a clearance from a Swallows
corner and run the full length of the pitch before chipping the ball over the onrushing keeper but before
half time Swallows scored and only some great defending from Harry Compton and a good save from Harry Crook
maintained the lead. Fraser eased the nerves with five minutes to go when he picked up a loose ball on the
edge of the area and smashed a finish over the keeper and into the top corner to spark great celebrations
with the 3-1 victory giving Lordswood the six points needed to crown them champions.
Lordswood became double winners after two fantastic performances against arch rivals Wigmore today. Zac Jones
hit the only goal in game one when he rounded the keeper and slotted home midway through the second half but
in truth Lordswood dominated the game from start to finish. Jack Norris, Alex Longhurst and Jones were a constant
threat and defensively Aidan Smyth and James Nourse were outstanding in completely blotting out the Wigmore
attack. Wigmore however found themselves right back in it after scoring early in game two and only a fine Harry Crook
save stopped them going ahead. However Lords battled back and a Bradley Jeffreys cross was slotted home by Taylor
Fraser for what turned out to be the decisive goal. Joe Tindall kept Lords in front with a fantastic first half block and
Harry Compton's last ditch tackle saved a certain goal but Lordswood could have scored more with Jeffreys hitting the
post and chipping the keeper only to see his shot agonisingly wide but the league champions held their nerve to finish
their season on a terrific high.
